An opportunity has arisen to join the Furlong team in Andover (SP10) in a full-time, permanent position as a Customer Support Consultant. Furlong is a leading provider of school management software solutions internationally employing around forty staff in the UK and abroad.  For those who are enthusiastic, successful and go the extra mile in their role, possibilities for career progression and further responsibilities will be available. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Support Team providing telephone and online support to our clients
  • Answering incoming calls in a timely and professional manner
  • Continually developing your knowledge and understanding of our software products
  • Related administrative tasks, including managing workload, logging queries etc
  • Providing brief demonstrations and/or training of parts of our software remotely

 

Required personal attributes:

  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to deal with clients
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving approach
  • Ability to cope in a busy office environment
  • Good computer literacy

Related experience is desirable but not absolutely necessary; Furlong is committed to ensuring that the post holder will receive training to fill any gaps in skills or knowledge.  We are looking for a candidate who holds the required skills and has the potential and passion to develop further.

Further details:

  • Approx £20 000 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
  • 28 days’ holiday (inc bank holidays), rising to 33 days with service
